Strange Fellows look to create beer that celebrates the people, traditions and ways of life from around the world. Founders Iain and Aaron may seem to be polar opposites from the outside looking in, but it is this synergy of method and madness that has lead them to create what one reviewer describes as “a damn fine beer.” Their impressive space and friendly atmosphere won’t disappoint.

We’re not sure there could be a more Canadian story; a brewery born from friendship and hockey. Just over a year old, Bomber Brewing is quickly establishing themselves as a staple in the city of Vancouver. Recently they turned heads when they incorporated ingredients from Vancouver’s Botanical Gardens, unfortunately these brews were part of a one off batch, but the sky’s the limit with these guys, and we can’t wait to taste their next creation.

The Parallel 49 team have something for everyone, from clean, crisp, refreshing pale lager to a dry hopped wheat ale. Oh and that is just what is in their “Always Around” selection of beer. They have a countless number of seasonal and aged creations. People seem to like Parallel 49 as they have just about 400 five star reviews.

The Powell Street Brewery has a comfortable little lounge where you can sample one of their many beers as you wait to refill your growler. The welcoming atmosphere and great beer is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some true craft beer. With reviews like “very good, easy drinking, and crisp” and “friendly, knowledgeable staff” this is a must try if you are hanging out downtown Vancouver.
