Her knowledge and patience for all my questions is exceptional. Taylor in dispatch was also very helpful with questions about packing certain items and kept me updated with information about the actual move. The actual movers were all professional, personable and kept me updated as they packed items I needed them to and when packing the truck. With my last move, I was moving contents from my dad’s home in Mississauga to Edmonton and Amar and his crew were great to work with. Special thanks to the moving team under wonderful Codie Boakes. On Sept 9, our moving date, he joined forces with John – whom I believe has now moved back to Moncton NB. They, in turn, worked with 3 fellows from the Peterborough, ON area – Jay, Chris and Mike. What a great group!! They were all joking around with us, were extra efficient and had the wrapping, tagging and loading done in record time. We were so fortunate to have them on our side!  In Saskatoon on Sept 12, Codie and John were on their own when the people expected to help didn’t show up! No complaints. They were met by our daughter, Julie, hubby Ken, mom-in-law, Sandy and granddaughter, Paige. Our relatives told us they were consistently cheerful and worked hard to accomplish the move. Julie and team had labeled all the rooms well and helped with placement.  When we showed up on Sept 13, even the beds were set up and in place. Not a speck of damage anywhere. AMAZING.

When we had a banking issue, Sept 10, 2021, you connected me with Jodie right away. In record time, she sent me the information needed to pay the remainder of our moving cost through a transfer in a rather emergency situation.

Emily was great with quick responses throughout our communications. Taylor, today, was extremely pleasant on the phone. You have an awesome team there in BC.

But, I can never forget the initial contact people – Dan and Amanda at Brown’s Moving and Storage in Elmvale. We have dealt with them (and GCVL) on what is now our 4^th cross country move. They were soooo very patient and helpful to us.

Puneet and his crew did an excellent job moving my stuff for my move between Mississauga and Vancouver. He did a great job communicating with me throughout the process. They moved all the stuff into the place very efficiently and with care.

This summer (August 2021), GCVL helped move us half way across the country from Surrey, BC. to Guelph, Ontario. We had been looking into a do-it-yourself move to save money, but are SOOO glad we went with GCVL. The option to pack our own boxes beforehand allowed us to save quite a bit. We were very happy with the final bill, even with having to use the shuttle option in Guelph (due to lack of access to our apartment block). We moved BELOW budget! The office staff were super as was the driver, Ron. Thanks you guys! We’d definitely use GCVL again (but hopefully won’t have to!)

I just wanted to thank Sara E. and her team (driver Wade, loaders Steve, John and Jay) for their absolute amazing service and professionalism from beginning to end. The estimate initially provided by Sara was bang on. She was always so helpful and informative whenever I had questions. Wade arrived on time for pick-up in ******. Both he and Steve were very careful with our belongings and understanding on the fragility of some of them. On arrival (first heat dome in *********) Wade, John and Jay unloaded our belongings carefully and without rushing even in 35+ degree weather. I’ve recently moved from Toronto to Vancouver and it was my first time moving all my belongings long distance. I’ve did my homework and reached out to multiple companies to receive a quote. Great Canadian Van Lines has impressed me right from the beginning. The quote was very detailed so I didn’t worry that more fees would show up during the move and every step was very well thought through. The moving crew was just wonderful (Codie, Jon and Kevin in Toronto and Codie, Jon and Jay in Vancouver). I am very happy that Great Canadian Van Lines moved my belongings across the country. I made a list of every box, it’s contents, and my furniture. After friends warned me that things do get lost when moving long distances, I was nervous. However, I had nothing to worry about as all my belongings arrived safely. The movers also painstakingly put stickers on every item so it was doubly assuring. Everyone I dealt with along the way were kind, professional and helpful. Due to one of their driver’s getting injured, my move was late but the company gladly compensated me. They were willing to solve the issue without making me feel awkward or dismissed. I really appreciated this. My move involved shuttles at either end which meant transferring my belongings three times before getting dropped off. This was handled very well. I would highly recommend this company!

I had an exact list of all goods going to our new address. After getting 3 quotes, Great Canadian gave us the best price for a higher average weight load. The other quotes were much higher cost for half the weight. As moving day approached, we actually added to the pile, but still came out just a fraction above our estimated weight for an extra $200. On moving day, the crew arrived on time and were speedy, efficient and friendly. Even getting the piano out the door was easy for them. And our goods arrived at the final location across the country in record time to await our arrival. All in all a big recommendation for this company.

Hello, my move was from Burnaby to Oshawa Ontario on May 20th. I carefully took my time to research companies before I made my choice. My decision to go with this company was based purely on its 100 percent credibility… I went on the Better Business Bureau and saw that this Company had an A plus rating… Reviews are one aspect in looking for a Company but the BBB is definitely the safest and most credible way to go. Great Canadian Van Lines was recommended to us by friends who had recently made a similar cross-country move. Having had a poor experience with our previous move, we were very focused on responsiveness and quality of service and GCVL came through big time. Sara gave us good advice (and a bit of a discount given competing bids) at the booking stage, and Harry and his team were terrific on both the loading and unloading ends. Our stuff arrived intact and on time, including a canoe, a kayak and 140 other items (mostly ********* – highly recommended). We could perhaps have found a cheaper moving company, but we could not have found a better one.

Amazing from start to finish. Bach size 2nd floor apt. going from Vancouver to house in Winnipeg. Pickup was on time, took barely 1.5hrs. Delivery slightly earlier than estimated (awesome!), and they even got my giant heavy wardrobe in without much fuss, also barely over an hour. Very professional and pleasant to work with. Great Canadian Van Lines was recommended to us for a move from ******** to ***********. I can’t say enough about the great service they provided right from arranging an earlier pick up of our belongings than what was originally scheduled to being responsive on calls I made asking different questions. They even gave me the truck drivers cell phone number to keep in touch with him as he brought our product across the country and on arrival day. The crews were very polite, amiable and professional on all levels.

Good morning.  We received our goods Thursday, May 6 and I have the following comments concerning the service we received.

We moved across the country from BC to Ontario, and the team at Great Canadian Van Lines could not have made our process more seamless and stress free. Kathy D was integral in our planning process. She was kind, communicative and very understanding each time we made adjustments to our plan. She answered all our questions and more, made suggestions and went out of her way to make sure we were totally comfortable with everything. Our drivers Bill & Kevin made the experience that much better. They treated all of our things with care as if the items were their own, communicated with us on the drive and made our pick up at our final destination as easy as ever. Overall Great Canadian Van Lines exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend and would definitely use them again.

We recently moved with GCVL Ltd from Vancouver Island to Montreal. Initial Booking Process Sara was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process (initial contact, sending us quotes, transparency about prices, getting back to us promptly and not pressuring us for services). Moving price was very reasonable! 6 Stars for Sara! Pick Up Movers were quick, professional, and on time for pick up on Vancouver Island. We called once to find out where the moving van was and received a response quickly. It took about 3 weeks for our items to arrive. Drop Off The reason I did not provide a 5 star rating was because the drop off was a bit complicated. The driver called 4 days ahead of time to let us know the day and time of drop off (two thumbs up for communicating to us this early). However, he confused the days and I was waiting around all day. He then told me he was coming the next day. He apologized and I could tell he felt really bad. However, In the end, the driver decided to drop off the items the same night (initially planned date). Moving van arrived around 7 pm. Originally it was supposed to be a shuttle van because the streets of Montreal are narrow (which would have cost us an extra $300). The driver wanted us to save the money and arrived in the full size moving truck, which barely fit in the street. It took them about 45 minutes to figure out how and where to park. It was a bit of a stressful situation. All my neighbors were moving their cars to help them find parking. But I must say the two movers where incredibly polite, friendly, willing to help, and wanted us to save some money (which I found was very kind of them). We double checked the inventory list 3 times to make sure everything was there. Some boxes were a bit ‘smooshed’ in the move – but this was a cross-Canada move and some casualties are to be expected. Nothing to my knowledge broke in the move. I would have given them 4.5 Stars – but half stars are not an option. Essentially just lost a star for some stress around arrival time and day and trying to get the moving truck to park somewhere. I would book with GCVL again.

We moved from Toronto to Vancouver and I am happy to say everything went very smooth and without any hiccups on this long haul move. Both the staff members we engaged with since the beginning and throughout the move were very professional and always answered all our questions. Kyle especially was very proactive, prompt and made us feel very confident that everything will go smooth, so thank you Kyle for that! We had a pleasant experience with our driver Harry who kept everything on schedule, we was quite accommodating of our requests and quite transparent about everything, which we appreciated. There were some slip ups during the move-out however. The mover crew didn’t lay carpets out before starting (we had to request later), and we ended up getting a carbon copy of the inventory which was barely legible and so it felt like paperwork was not given proper attention and got me a little concerned. But on the flip side, Harry and crew made up for it during the move-in and I was pleased that they did everything as expected. Items arrived undamaged and inventory process was thorough and not rushed. Short version : I would highly recommend Canadian van lines, they are an honest and professional group of people and great at what they do.

Working with Great Canadian Van Lines was a smooth experience. From booking to answering all my questions and doing the reservation, Kathy was extremely helpful and easy to talk to, she went through all the minor details with me to make sure there would be no surprise for anyone (things like making sure there would be enough room for the truck to park both at source and destination, avoiding extra charge if it wasn’t the case as they would need a shuttle on top of the trucks). My move was somewhat complex and Kathy helped with all the details, they also helped me book a car relocation through one of their business partners. The movers were here on time on both occasions (pick-up and delivery), extremely professional and efficient. This is the first time doing a long distance move that everything went so smoothly (I have done other long distance move before). All the furniture arrived in perfect condition and they made sure to make every piece of furniture ready to be moved. Overall a great experience and I would absolutely recommend them for anyone’s move.

Had them move me From Edmonton, AB to Delta, BC. Their responses were very quick and gave me all the details I needed to get the move done as painlessly as possible. Thier quote was pretty spot on. Transport only took a couple days. Loading and unloading was only a couple hours. They inventoried everything I had to make sure it all got here. This is the second time I’ve used them. I would use them again in the future for sure.

I had a perfect experience with GCVL. I compared dozens of companies, but they were eventually recommended by a family friend who has her own local moving company in Vancouver (but only does local moves). They were always very professional, quick to answer my emails and able to address any concerns I had. I was able to book them for the dates I needed, and the move was only a couple days long altogether. We had a two days window for delivery which was wonderful on my end in terms of organization. Items were packed carefully during pick up and all delivered without any damages recorded. I highly recommend this company. I will definitely hire them again if I were to move back to LA.

I just moved from Ontario to southern Alberta using Great Canadian Van Lines. The experience was great. Once we got some logistical issues figured out, everything was smooth as could be. The driver, Amar, and his helper, Harsh, were very professional and communication was great. I was behind them driving in February over northern Ontario and Amar even gave me an update of the road conditions ahead on the most tricky leg of the trip! We just moved our household stuffs from BC to ON, and this is about 3rd or 4th time we used their service, ** *** *** ****** ****** and we’ve moved around happily **** *** for some years. Kathy is such a great help to plan and move. She really works hard to give the closest estimate she can possibly get and her estimates are quite close. I have been dealing with her few times now and even if the estimate is slightly more than the actual weight, I trust her enough not to worry about the company’s honesty. She tries hard to help out beyond her duty (Thanks Kathy!). My experience with Great Canadian Van was very good over all, and I don’t even contact other moving companies to compare any more when we need the service. The moving staffs have always been good and professional as well. They are the best!
